Reloader H5
Transport over long distances quickly becomes a very uneconomical part of the entire silage chain, and truck transport can’t enter the field. That’s why our company has come up with a brilliant solution: a transfer station that separates tractor transport from truck transport.
How does it work?
The RELOADER H5 is positioned at the edge of the field being harvested. Tractors with trailers shuttle between the forage harvester and the reloader, which transfers the material into a truck parked on the nearby road.
This combined transport method significantly reduces costs related to fuel, tires, and time spent on the road. According to our users, the system becomes cost-effective at distances starting from just 10–12 kilometers.
Fast Setup
The RELOADER H5 is very compact for transport and can be towed by a smaller tractor with approximately 120 HP. In the field, the machine is placed next to the road so that its conveyor arm extends into a truck parked on the roadside. By unfolding the conveyor system, the machine is quickly made ready for operation.
The entire setup takes around 5 minutes—and folding it back for transport takes about the same amount of time.
Power and Control
All functions of the transfer station are powered by its own hydraulic pumps. Only the support leg (for parking the machine) and the drawbar positioning cylinder are controlled via the tractor's hydraulics.
The tractor powers the PTO at a maximum of 540 RPM. Stronger tractors can use 1000 RPM at idle speed, which significantly saves fuel.
There are no mechanical transmissions in the machine—thanks to the hydraulic drive, fuel consumption is very low, at around 0.1 liters per ton of material.
Material Transfer
Transferring material from the tractor trailer to the truck is straightforward. As with a silage bagger, the belt movement is monitored, and material is passed onto two conveyors running at constant speed.
A full truck trailer is loaded in 8–12 minutes, depending on the tractor trailer used. The most efficient setup proved to be a three-axle high-capacity trailer with 65 m³, which was completely transferred into one truck in just 7 minutes.
